Welcome Guest to a page about webdesign and hjemmesider design.
Before you start on your first hjemmeside there's a few things you need to consider.
First what is the theme of your site? Is it about yourself, your favorite hobby or an information page like this Hjemmeside design?
Once that is done you need to get an idea of your target group, is this a website for teens, elder people, computer nerds ect? Teens like things to be flashy and looking cool while the elderly want's t simple and want the links very clear and easy to find, as this is the msot important part of a website. It would be the same as having a store in a big town and no signs poiting to the store, it would be hard for new visitors to find your place somewhere in the city.
After that you can start planning the structure of your page, should it be one large website? A main homepage and several subpages? Should those subpages have more subpages? Often it's a good idea to use a wide structure instead of a deep structure with more links on the first page instead having to click through 4-5 pages in order to find a product or information that your website is all about.
That is some of the things you will need to plan before you start on the actual webdesign for your site. You will also need to know what software you are going to use for the website, for just getting some text or information online a freeblog might be the fast and best solution but if you full control over the layout and colors you need a more complex program like photoshop or as many of the hardcore computer lovers do just code it in html directly in wordpad or a similar simple text editor program.
Then you can building the webpage, be add to add as a lot of comments in your code like begin mainpage, end main page ect so that it will be easy for you to edit the page again several months later if you should need to do so when doing some webdesign on a hjemmeside.
Once the webpage is actually online it's time to do a little advertising for it, the customers won't just come by themself you need to active work for it by promoting your site, adding more links to it and optimize it for better google ranking. Some prefer to do a little offline advertising too, like radio spots, magazins others would rather do it online with buying banners, google adwords, link spots ect. It all comes down to the same goal, getting more people to visit your website, liking what they see and have them return at some later point for more buisness. And here ends this tutorial about usability and proper linking in webdesign. Hope you enjoyed the read and I look forward to sharing other new articles with you at a later time.
